Service Description

NB: For young puppies up to max 6 months at beginning of course. A good mixture of both training and socialising, with the intention of helping you to raise a well mannered family dog who is a pleasure to live with. All of the methods used in class are kind, gentle and reward-based and encourage puppies to think and understand. What's it like? The classes are fun, relaxed and packed full of information and great experiences for your puppy and you! Raising a puppy is a challenge, but it shouldn’t be a stressful one, having a puppy can be an absolute joy if you understand how to communicate with them, and why they behave the way they do. I specialise in puppy training because I want to help you raise your new family member to be an absolute delight - and that is about much more than just training. Topics : - Come when called - Walking nicely on the lead - Sit - Down & Stand - Wait and Off - Greeting people without jumping up - How to deal with play biting - Manners with food and chews - Handling and grooming - And lots more Group Size & Teacher: I keep group sizes small (maximum 8 puppies in a class) so you will get plenty of time and help, and you will be joining classes of 20 years standing with a great reputation so you will be giving your puppy the very best start. Your teacher, Helen Morgan, is a specialist and expert in puppy training and behaviour, working full time with puppies, and was personally trained by the world renowned author Gwen Bailey. Socialisation & Puppy Psychology We will also cover socialisation including playing with the other puppies in class, and learning to feel at ease in every environment. Also including many fascinating aspects of how dogs think and learn so you can understand easily how best to teach your puppy what is expected in our human world. How long is the course? It is a six week course, a one hour class each week and the cost of the course is £135. The classes are very much family friendly so please feel free to bring all (human) family members including children. The classes take place in Leafield village hall OX29 9QJ. There is ample parking.
