Walk & Train - SUN 5 JULY 9.30 Charlbury

Service Description

Transfer your class training to the real world and practice skills like: recall, heel, and not jumping up, along with heaps of valuable socialisation for your puppy (and you too 😉 ). We start with a group off lead walk (closely supervised by Helen) to burn off some energy and forge puppy friendships, then it's time for a bit of focus. I absolutely do not expect perfect behaviour - the purpose of the session is practice! - so we will spend some time practicing recall, helping them to work on 'heel' in a new and distracting place, passing people without leaping at them in excitement, and learning to handle new sights and sounds. Then it's time for some 'settle' training - and coffee and cake for you! (not included in the walk fee). We will head to the cafe and practice what puppies should do when their human is sitting down and otherwise occupied, so this works brilliantly for cafes, pubs, friend's houses anytime you need them to relax. It can be challenging to transfer what they have learned at home and in class to busy real world environments so this is a perfect opportunity to work on that with support from me 👌 . The walk and training session will take approx 1 hour, then half an hour (or as long as you like!) in the cafe. To book you MUST be either currently attending, or have very recently attended, my puppy classes and have a puppy who is working on their training but does NOT have a significant behaviour challenges. (eg this is not suitable for extremely fearful puppies, or those who are not friendly with dogs and people). This is the young puppy walk, if your pup is over 6 months check out the Junior walk. If you have never let your puppy off the lead before this is the perfect time to try it, in a group they like to stay together, so it feels much easier than doing it on your own, and of course I will be there to support and supervise.
