If you are adding a puppy to your family I am guessing you have already been given quite a bit of advice from well meaning friends and family, and it is probably conflicting advice in many cases?! Coupled with the information you have gleaned from books and online, it can start to feel overwhelming and confusing. You know that your puppy's formative months will pass quickly and you are determined to get it right.. but it is hard to know which guidance is correct. Providing clarity is one of the major benefits of a home start puppy session. You have a puppy expert all to yourselves for an hour and a half to ask questions and check you are doing things right. Helen has been a specialist puppy trainer for more than 20 years, and will give you guidance that truly works, bust the common myths and misconceptions, and help you to know exactly what you need to do to give your puppy the very best start in life. The session is yours so will cover everything you would like, and can include for example:- - Sleeping arrangements - settling your puppy into a routine - Toys and chews - what do you actually need and what really works - Play biting - how to tame your land shark - Introductions to children and family pets - friends from the start - Socialisation and vaccinations - where can you safely take you puppy and when to begin - Toilet training - puppy pads? bells? get up in the night? how to get the fastest results Helen is also an expert in nutrition and can give you advice on what to feed your puppy and why, giving you clarity on what can be a really minefield. It is a great idea for all the members of your household to be there for the session, it means everyone is on the same page, you are all in it together, and dare I say it.. advice is often accepted more willingly when it comes from an outside expert. Whether this is your first ever puppy, or you are an experienced dog owner who just hasn't had a puppy for a while, this session is a huge confidence boost.
