Service Description

Helen will visit you at home (or meet you at a location relevant to your training) and first of all talk through exactly what has been happening, this diagnostic phase is to get to the bottom of the underlying cause and/or contributing factors to the problem. Very often training fails where other factors are (often unknowingly) getting in the way. Once we have a deep understanding of what is happening (in particular from your pup's point of view), and you have new insight into the situation, we will create together a training programme for you to work on each day, secure in the knowledge that you know exactly what what to do. This session is 1.5 hours, however please allow a 2 hour window in case of overrunning. The initial session would normally be at your home, follow up sessions can be 'on location', however I am flexible so please ask if you have any questions. Helen has specialised in puppy and adolescent training and behaviour for over 20 years, and there is genuinely no substitute for true in depth experience. She has an holistic approach which means taking into account everything that could be affecting behaviour from nutrition to family stresses. Dogs are incredible and sensitive, so often it's less about a lack of learning and more something underlying. Your session includes a written report and training plan. Follow up sessions can be booked on an as needed basis, or in blocks as you prefer. Please note: You must book one initial consultation before booking follow up sessions.
