Slow Feeder Enrichment Bowl
The slow feeder bowl can be used to make eating their standard meal a little more challenging, or you can use this as a lick mat, providing your puppy with an activity that burns both physical and mental energy, slows food intake down, and is a calming activity with licking associated with endorphin release.
You could create a simple activity for your pup with a smear of a tasty food such as peanut butter, cream cheese, pate etc, or you can get creative with your fillings, try gravy, bone broth, or yoghurt jazzed up with some treats dropped in then FREEZE to make it last longer, and use it to turn your puppy's mealtime into a 30 minute adventure rather than a 30 second blink-and-you-miss-it experience!
This is suitable for all breeds and sizes of puppy (and dog) and is dishwasher and freezer safe.
Please supervise and train your puppy when introducing any new food toy to avoid chewing damage and remove it as soon as the food is finished to avoid chewing. This is NOT a chew toy.
Precautions to avoid chewing
Whilst this is a great toy for distracting and keeping your puppy entertained it is not a chew toy, it is made of plant based natural rubber and could be damaged/destroyed by chewing. So please ensure that you supervise your puppy's licking fun and remove the UFO LickiMat as soon as the food is gone, don't leave them alone with it as licking often turns to chewing once the food runs out.
For young puppies to learn that this toy is for licking and not chewing its best to introduce it with small amounts of tasty spreadable food (eg peanut butter, cream cheese, paté etc) easy to get to and away from the rim. If necessary hold it for them while they lick then take it away. a few supervised sessions like this and they will get the hang of it, then you can start to increase the amount of food you use, make more complicated mixtures, and freeze it so it lasts longer.
