Mini Tuff LickiMat
  • Mini Tuff LickiMat

The Mini Tuff LickiMat has a hard back that makes it great choice for puppies as it's more robust, and bonus it is dishwasher safe 👍 . The neat size makes it perfect for taking to puppy class, the pub, cafe etc, and for smaller breeds.

Your LickiMat is a fun food/treat licking distractor, providing your puppy with an activity that burns both physical and mental energy, slows food intake down, and is a calming activity with licking associated with endorphin release.

To start your puppy with their first LickiMat smear a small amount of a tasty food (such as peanut butter, cream cheese, pate) into the middle of the mat to avoid chewing of the edges. Supervise and remove when the food is gone. As they learn to just lick their LickiMat you can fill it to the edges and get creative with your fillings, freeze it to make it last longer, and use it to turn your puppy's mealtime into a 30 minute adventure rather than a 30 second blink-and-you-miss-it experience!

The LickiMat is suitable for all food types: wet, raw, barf and soaked kibble. Dry kibble can be used when mixed with yoghurt or similar dog safe foods.

It is dishwasher safe, freezer safe and microwave safe. No BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Silicone or TPE Plastic. Made from plant based Natural Rubber, this LickiMat is 100% recyclable and eco-friendly.

Training notes, recipes and introduction tips are on the product packaging. Please supervise and train your puppy when introducing any new food toy to avoid chewing damage and remove it as soon as the food is finished to avoid chewing. This LickiMat is NOT a chew toy.

    • Precautions to avoid chewing

Whilst this is a great toy for distracting and keeping your puppy entertained it is not a chew toy, it is made of plant based natural rubber and could be damaged/destroyed by chewing. So please ensure that you supervise your puppy's licking fun and remove the UFO LickiMat as soon as the food is gone, don't leave them alone with it as licking often turns to chewing once the food runs out.

For young puppies to learn that this toy is for licking and not chewing its best to introduce it with small amounts of tasty spreadable food (eg peanut butter, cream cheese, paté etc) easy to get to and away from the rim. If necessary hold it for them while they lick then take it away. a few supervised sessions like this and they will get the hang of it, then you can start to increase the amount of food you use, make more complicated mixtures, and freeze it so it lasts longer.
